After many years of training in and teaching various martial arts I encountered Masashi Yokoyama Sensei of Osaka, Japan. Yokoyama Sensei is the founder of a modern self defense art that he named KOROHO. Koroho translates to mean "continuously moving forward with a pure soul". Koroho was created as a method of defense designed to efficiently and effectively defend against modern attacks. Also, the training methods have been updated in order to enable students to learn effective self defense in a relatively short period of time. This makes Koroho an excellent system for law enforcement personnel.
Yokoyama Sensei also teaches Koroho to various law enforcement and security personnel around the world. The Director of the French Koroho Federation is the Commander of the Gendar Marie.
