Another important figure
is Hidemine (Buhô) Jibiki Sensei
Born in 1927. From his youth, Jibiki diligently studied
Karate and Jujutsu, until he met Wang Shu-chin and was exposed to
Chinese martial arts. Since that time, he has devoted his life to
studying and teaching the internal arts of T'ai-chi, Hsing-i, and
Pa-kua.
He was the only non-Chinese to be honored be being chosen to receive
the inner teachings by Wang himself. In addition, he also studied
and teaches ancient Japanese soft styles such as Daitô-ryû
and Shin Kage-ryû.
He is President of the All Japan Soft Martial Arts Federation, the
Japan Chapter of the International Cheng-ming Kung-fu Association,
and of the Japan branch of the International Chinese Kuoshu Federation.
Anyone who practises push-hands with Master Jibiki will be amazed
by the depth of the power that wells from this gentle-mannered,
soft-spoken man of over seventy.He is also a Fourth-generation student
of Pa-kua Chang founder,Tung Hai-ch'uan. |
